Just a comment from the backside: “Slowly begin to contract the sphincter muscles. The best way to explain this is to contract the muscles that you use to cut off the stream while urinating” – those muscles are NOT for controlling your anus, but those are “Kegel muscles”, for cutting off the stream of urine (or even forbid ejaculation (yes, that’s possible with frequent exercise)).
Better advice would be to try to contract those muscles which would be used to interrupt (pardon my language) defecation.
